Vertical narrow or Horizontal narrow formatted paintings tell a story. 

The longer the shape the more intriguing and capturing of our imagination. 

Pleasing shapes make sense of our world as we co-create our surround to feel good, happy, harmonious and joyful. This is the foundation of Feng Qi. Our eyes drink in images, accepting, deepening into or not. We want to make sense, relate to our world making our personal story. 'Panel’ format offers something more. Ones eyes actually scans the length following side to side or up and down, the larger the size the more we use our scanning gaze to make sense and enter into our inner artists vision making it our own. We follow the narrow shape as our eyes naturally trace the length and width of a painting. Creative souls instigate internal stories and active their creative force. Claiming an artwork becomes natural as we fill in our visions with personal story. We enter into a magical world made more interesting with ‘Panels’.

Many of my newest paintings incorporate panels. I’ve been crafting side bars to select large size paintings that like “exclamation signatures” augment emotional attachments making the experience deepen into ownership, akin to the co-creation feeling I feel while painting. You see! it is the “feeling” that generates positive vibes that insures crescendos of more positive vibes. “Where we place our thoughts, energy goes”. 

Our home and environment is where we have the biggest control and impact to make a magical beautiful world. Placing art thoughtfully in our surround carries forward harmony, calm, peace. It is living in a peaceful surround that nurtures our joy, happiness and good health. We in turn project our emotions out into the world.

“Hummingbird Joy” a beautiful example of taking an essence of the original large painting, crafting two side ‘Panels’ each side a mirror or the other. Together these I created a triptych, each side panel 13x36, borders the full image 24x34.
