The snow is falling on Salt Spring Island, it is magical to be covered in a blanket of snow. This is a perfect time to stoke the wood stove, and spend the day painting in my studio.

The wood stove is stocked and sending heat.

The garden is a new world covered in a fluffy white blanket of snow.

 I have been feeling especially inspired by the velvety soft petals of a boutique of roses. I want to share with you the progress of my new rose paintings. 

My studio wash sink is a reflection of the warm colours used in these works.
