” In 1990 to 1991 we took our family to Europe and during the school year we lived in Provence, France in a remote valley hamlet called Les Alazard hugging the foot of Mount Ventoux. Part of several hamlets a region farmed for generations, grapes, lavender, herbs de Provence and of course bee hives dotted the landscape. Fruit trees lined fields, orchards of apricots, cherrys, pears and apples were a symphony of colour from early Spring to June. Century old stone farm houses with barns, fencing and pathways a warmed patina of rock weathered by winter mistral and scorching summers. This a paradise of generational famlies, our gratitude forever as the community welcomed our young family into their homes. Our daughters invited into the one room school became our conduit to acceptance. Very soon we felt home, walking the paths, hearing their history, invited to help with bee tending, and to family celebrations. Our children at the time only 8 and 11 blossomed in the warmth of its community. Sleepovers, birthday parties and school plays, they experienced homes with grandparents, goats, chickens and play in the woods and basins. Market days were community events. Local cheeses, bbq chicken, pizza truck, and yes all the fresh vegetables and fruits in season. To this day I am still stirred to paint this life, landscape and peaceful Joie de Vivre.” Jill

The Small & Medium Limited Editions are stretched by hand onto Canadian-made wood stretcher bars, ready to hang on your wall and enjoy. The Large size is normally shipped rolled due to its size, with stretching easily done by your local framer.

General shipping is via Canada Post, connecting internationally through USPS and other national postal services.

“Original Enhancing is available for many of my Limited Editions. It is with great pleasure to revisit a painting and give original layering in acrylic paint over top a fine art canvas that is a signed and numbered reproduction. The image is first reproduced using archival inks sprayed over top canvas, I then take back this canvas to my art studio and begin the exciting process of painting over top using thick acrylic paint perhaps enhancing an area previously quiet or soft, or pulling out areas to feature giving a whole new original feel and look. My finishing is the signature gold acrylic paint I use to line and define areas offering a soft yet enhanced clairity. I love photographing as the "new" look emerges along the way and send an email my client with a personable note and photoed images of the process from my studio art easel, giving lasting photo documenting of their unique "original enhanced" piece." J
