A Gardeners Delight…

Towering golden petaled faces turn to the sun. While I focus on their beaded centres, a butterfly passes, first one then another and more. Angel winged, ethereal floaters I see double! as precious out of world beings fill in the spots the mighty leafed tournesol exposes. I almost miss the butterfly moment and soon realize they live amongst these giants revealing a presence to the eye appreciating the faerie worlds. Protected the flower and the butterfly coexist, coaxing more from each, which I am sure led to the butterfly’s metamorphosis surely as magical as the tiny seed that produced this towering golden sunflower plant.
