‘Follow A Wish’ original

“Salt Spring Island vistas from country roads, this
scene is a favourite across farm fields to distant Sunset Drive and the
glistening waters on Salt Spring Island’s west side.” J

“Follow a Wish”
For over fifty years Duart and I have boated in Canada. Our first boat was a wooden sloop, Cygnet V. At 39 feet she was a seafaring beauty, built in New Brunswick in the early 1940s. We first sailed her on Lake Ontario and eventually shipped her west.

In 1978 we moved to Vancouver to follow our wish of sailing the West Coast. Over the years we acquired many boats as our dreams grew. Sailing, exploring quiet inlets and restful anchorages, boating offered us sanctuary.

Dreaming kept us in touch with our deepest loves. We feel blessed that these waters have gifted us a life filled with wonder. I believe that following one’s wishes—allowing dreams to become reality—is what makes a life well lived.
