Iris and Geraniums’, Both Iris and Geranium are flowers I find satisfying because of their depth of colour, startling intense, yet rare to find them bloom side by side. I choose to paint them together as their equal strength and contrasted colour heighten the flower experience. Both Iris and Geranium are especially celebrated in most country gardens in France. Every year in my own artist garden I embrace these two favourite flowers. Geraniums in window boxes, Irises in surprising clumps usually ignored until they surprise me in late Spring.
