The winter window display at the gallery on Salt Spring Island created by artist Jill Louise Campbell, brings feelings of traditional comfort and warmth for the season. The painting Nut Farm view embraces those feelings perfectly, with golden orchards and warm white farm buildings.

The Nut Farm paintings are both a lovely wide size. Jill has enjoyed painting in this different aspect the last few years, In the gallery we like the long horizontal paintings for the fit and styling above furniture, drawing your eye to to the art and letting it set the colour in the room.

Crisp white and cream interior styling is a fabulous fit for these paintings. Introducing colours are earthy and warm with touches of gold in artwork will add a softness and warmth to the room.

This winter display is a wonderful way to introduce the new artwork Nut Farm and Nut .  The paintings came from a late fall and winter trip to France last year, Jill posted many Art Journal entries during this trip. Link

The window is full of soft natural details, from the white candles strung with sage and berries. Traditional gold glass balls shimmer among a natural scene of moss covered logs,  Art story shawl of Celtic Forest mimics the soft warm colours, it is softly draped on either side of the artwork.
