Gallery update for Spring

The warmth of spring is unfolding softly on Salt Spring Island.
The gallery is now open Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 4pm.
Artist Jill Louise Campbell and our gallery registrar Carmen look forward to welcoming you to our new fresh open gallery space. The gallery is full of colourful artwork with more space dedicated to showing originals, we have added an art vault to store more canvas artwork and a private display space. There is a mirror and space for the Art scarves, art cards assorted collections and single cards are now available. gift art prints are a new smaller size, framed with our new hand made wood frame.
Our new frames are fabulous, the artists husband Duart has enjoyed woodworking and has even built a house! He set out to create a durable wood frame that could be fixed if ever needed, used local pine wood and was manufactured close to the art.
The result is a strong cream coloured rustic pine frame, it has a country feel and also fits in a modern space due to the strait shape.   The finish is rubbed and waxed. It is honest to its source and strong in its design.

This frame is currently stocked in the Small Art Print 11”x14” size. We have listed the frame separately from the Art Print on our website.   The gallery website offers over 150 Art Prints, filter by collection Shop Art Prints
Jills daughter Lauren has a small gallery space to show her artwork as well.  We are only scheduling two days a week, Friday and Saturday for now, and we will add more days as it makes sense. Jill welcomes you to connect anytime for a private showing at the gallery. Contact the artist through email jlcgallery@gmail.com
We miss our usual Humm of visitors on the Island, even the locals and bigger Island community is quiet. We are thrilled to have a lovely online gallery to keep connected.  This time of pause we have focused on a bright future and completed a wonderful fresh renovation of the gallery.  The gallery space feels open and light, with dedicated space to show more originals and explore new products.
When you feel safe to visit SSI and your travel is appropriate for the times, we are here for you and are thrilled to share the gallery and colourful artwork of Jill Louise Campbell.
New small work that captures scenes from Jills last trip to France, inspired by Monet’s garden, rocky peeks of the Pyrenees mountains, whimsical canal boats. The artwork is waxed and framed with a hand made Canadian pine frames.   Rustic and real memories of travel loved in France.
Fine art comes in all sizes and price ranges our newest size is perfect for gifting and it always fits a loved space.
The Gift Art Prints are 5”x6” in size and delightfully framed in Duart's hand crafted wood frame. These special frames are sanded, painted in warmed white, stressed and waxed to a soft patina.
The gallery shows Canvas Limited Editions displayed in sizes ranging up to full wall triptych size approx 6x5feet to sizes that fit that smaller wall 16x24 and 24x36 inches.
All canvas artwork is made to order and produced with the best quality inks. Hand made custom approach is used with the printing, mounting and framing. The artist Jill Louise Campbell offer original hand enhancing on all the canvas reproductions.

  • Hello Jill,
I appreciate your update on your art work in France+ & new airy gallery!
Duart has created a lovely frame to complement your work🙂. I have 3 of your smaller prints plus a larger one (moon with row boats/ bluey background), your roses scarf is hanging on my bedroom door & a set of your mixed cards(given sparingly), in my desk drawer! When you come to Australia to do a painting trip☝️, I hope you visit the Grt Barrier Reef, Ayers Rock (Uluru) & the Kimberley area. Have you ever done any art at Maracaibo on Salt Spring? My grand father (Fred Abbott) built original house there & my father (Richard) lived a few years there. Salt Spring is a beautiful island and your studio is the prime attraction! I’m so glad to have visited it once more in October 2019!
    Blessings
