" Each year as the season changes from busy summer to Fall I am reminded of my good fortune meeting many interesting and kind clients. It is always delightful hearing stories of connections through my art.
This Fall I am featuring a beautiful example of a re connection I made with a client from thirty years ago. He reminded me of a painting he had purchased. At that time France figured largely in my painting inspirations. A few years earlier I had returned to Canada after a year travelling and living in Europe with our two young daughters. For the school year we settled in a remote valley in Provence, France. This painting depicts the surrounding countryside of "Beaumont de Ventoux Village". Painted in watercolour it tenderly explores my love and appreciation for this simple farming community that embraced our family. Our daughters attended the one room school, while I painted the tranquil villages, farms and hamlets. Through my paintings I documented this magical valley bathed in Fall colours. Now for the first time in almost 30 years "Beaumont de Ventoux" original is made available for purchase once again. View a simpler life, allow the gentle nudge a peaceful calm life, it is sweet, it is a treasure". Jill
