Fall 2022 on SSI
Glowing light reverberates about the island warming conversation. We breathe in nature, its glory in turn gifts us its full presence.
Thanksgiving naturally arises as we take pause and appreciate after a whirling summer. So many blessings we received over the past months, wonderful visitors from near and far. Lively, paced, delightful moments of deep sharing are ever memorable of individual meetings.
Our gallery summer team; Carmen, Lauren, Duart and I each gave our best to every moment.
Many clients left with wonderful art tucked under arms while dozens of ‘created just for you’ paintings were carefully crafted, framed and shipped all over North America. We were busy! Time now to breathe!
October 8, Saturday is Carmens last shift with us this year. Carmen The Gallery Registrar tho in part time position gave her fullest attention to The Gallery for the past 4 months. She will be pursuing her own creative arts as Fall deepens to Winter. Lauren an ‘Artist to follow’ is our right arm! She delighted in sharing her own art and made lasting collectors as her interpretations resonated with so many. Lauren insured every shipment was perfect she soothed, brightened, responded to every Gallery need with poise and grace. Duart steadily in the background updating website, fulfilling printings, all the while creating his own unique line of handcrafted frames.
My summer pace was lively as painting sales flowed for original embellishments. I painted for hours most everyday to fulfill orders for shipping, these hours were my calm in the effervescence of summer. I also loved meeting many people throughout the summer with spontaneous short Gallery visits throughout the week and hours spent in The Gallery each Saturday often with my daughter Lauren. We had so much fun!
Salt Spring Island is quieter now with
our Fall and Winter hours more flexible.
We will continue to Open every Saturday, as well many days during the week.
Watch our website for updated hours or email to be sure we are open. We look forward to appointment requests while we balance our own creative needs.
