Creating Driftwood Boats
Driftwood boats have a lovely whimsical character, made from driftwood collected from the shores of the Pacific Northwest.
When beach combing, besides jetsam boat wood and logboom signs, I also look for driftwood to make boats.
I rig these with dacron or chart sails, and bits of old sailing racing line.
Each boat is unique. Driftwood from the shores of the PNW. Vintage charts and sailing line. Dacron sailcloth is also used.
I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MAKING KITS TO MAKE YOUR OWN BOAT.
